Here are some important tips that will help you ace SNAP entrance test 2019

SNAP is one of the major MBA entrance exams conducted every year and will take place on 15th December 2019. With less than two months remaining for the test, your preparations are in full swing. From referring various preparation material to burning the midnight oil, you’re leaving no stone unturned in your hustle to secure the prestigious Symbiosis admission.

Hence, here are some important tips that will help you ace the SNAP entrance test 2019.

  1. Focus on self-preparation

If you ever wondered about the practical use of the proverb, ‘ self-help is the best help’ now is the time to implement it. Any exam you prepare for will require total commitment and dedication from your side, and SNAP is no different. No matter which coaching institute you join, your self-study will determine whether or not you excel in the SNAP entrance test 2019. Hence, you must prepare & follow a timetable, and possess the right preparation material that will aid your preparations. The right step in this direction would be utilizing books from renowned authors like Arun Sharma and Nishit Sinha, to name a few.

  1. Improve your online reading

With the current affairs section removed from SNAP 2019, you must put in more effort in your preparation for other sections. One such section is General English. It consists of Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, and Verbal Ability. Because the passages asked in SNAP are long, your ability to comprehend them and your verbal ability skills will be thoroughly tested. Hence, you must read a bunch of online articles. It will not only improve your online reading speed, but you will also come across pieces from different subjects. You will get a better understanding of how to comprehend the author’s viewpoint and answer the questions accordingly. Moreover, you will have a better grasp of the English language. It will help you answer verbal reasoning and verbal ability related questions.

  1. Solve DI sets

Data Interpretation (DI) questions act as some of the most scoring ones in the SNAP exam. However, the intense calculations involved in solving these questions would mean they can be time-consuming. Hence, you must practice such type of questions rigorously. In the process, you will learn some tricks to solve these questions quickly. It will also help you buy more time to answer questions from other sections.

Solving at least 2-3 DI sets every day will be sufficient for your preparation.

  1. Make a formula book

The portion of quantitative aptitude is very vast, and it consists of the following topics –

  • Arithmetic – Percentages, profit & loss, averages, mixtures, time and work, etc
  • Geometry
  • Number system – Unit’s digit, digital root, divisibility rules, real numbers, prime numbers, natural numbers, and whole numbers
  • Algebra – Expressions and Inequalities, equations and functions, etc.
  • Higher Math – Set theory, probability, permutation & combination, etc.

To remember the intricacies of each topic, you must note down their formulas in a book. It will improve your conceptual knowledge of these topics and help you solve sums at a quicker pace.

Just like DI, quantitative aptitude is highly scoring. With the current affairs section no longer existing in SNAP 2019, scoring heavily in quantitative aptitude will significantly improve your percentile.

  1. Give plenty of mocks

The list would be incomplete without stressing the importance of attempting mock tests regularly. Thanks to mocks, you can analyze your strong and weak areas in each section. It will help you overcome the latter, which will reflect in your improvement in your mock scores. You will also gain enough confidence and belief to crack SNAP.

We hope these tips help in your preparations for the upcoming MBA entrance exam, SNAP 2019. All the best!
