infrastructure management

The government expects an investment of USD 1 trillion in the infrastructure sector (by when?). This prediction has caused growth in infrastructure development by leaps and bounds in the past few years. This growth demands educated and trained professionals to take up leadership positions in this sector.

The MBA Infrastructure Development and Management (IDM) is designed to cover all traditional management disciplines like marketing, finance, and strategy. This niche programme also trains students for operations, management and financing for infrastructure projects. Furthermore, the course addresses in depth the concepts and skills required to understand policies and regulations from a technical, social, economic, legal and political perspective.

Students studying this 2-year full-time residential programme learn with the help of classroom lectures, field visits and academic projects. They also gain immense industry exposure due to their regular interaction with notable industry experts and by attending conferences on infrastructure development and management.

Moreover, students are also expected to undertake research projects in their II, III, and IV semesters. These projects help them gain a better understanding of identifying various problems that can occur in this industry and solutions that can effectively solve these issues. Additionally, students are encouraged to analyse case studies that help them develop their strategic analytical skills. This course also helps students develop their soft skills so that they can communicate clearly as leaders.

At the end of the two years, students are industry ready professionals who can undertake leadership roles such as:

· Project Management
· Project Marketing
· Finance & Accounting Management
· Facilities Management
· Project Consultancy
· Mergers & Acquisition Management

· Some of the top recruiters that visit the campus are:

· World Bank
